Course Overview

The Mastering Hifz & Tajweed (Juz 'Amma & Surah Al-Mulk) program is designed to guide students systematically through the memorization and retention of Juz 'Amma (beginning with Surah Al-Naba') and Surah Al-Mulk. 

The curriculum introduces a rigorous, three-tier active revision system consisting of  (new lesson),  (recent retention), and  (long-term revision). By learning to track retention, build sustainable daily habits, and navigate cognitive plateaus, students develop the mental resilience and structure needed to maintain their Hifz for life.

Course Objectives
  • Memorization & Articulation: Attain precise memorization of Juz 'Amma and Surah Al-Mulk with proper Tajweed rules, correct makharij (exit points), and sifat (characteristics of letters).
  • Learning Modality Optimization: Identify personal learning preferences (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) and apply targeted memorization strategies aligned with those strengths.
  • Dual-Track Revision Mastery: Establish and maintain an integrated revision system dividing daily workload across Sabq, Para-Sabq, and Am-Sabq.
  • Self-Management & Analytical Tracking: Utilize daily logs, error trackers, and performance metrics to monitor retention quality and correct recurring mistakes proactively.
  • Life & Prayer Integration: Seamlessly incorporate newly memorized portions into daily salah, establishing a practical and spiritually enriching routine.
Student Expectations:

To achieve optimal results and maintain course progression, students are expected to commit to the following standards:
  • Punctual Attendance: Attend all weekly 60-minute live sessions. (80% attendance is compulsory to receive a certificate)
  • Daily Independent Practice: Dedicate 15-20 minutes per day, 5 days per week, to new memorization and structured revision.
  • Data & Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate daily logs of memorization, error counts, and revision cycles using the provided course tracking tools.
  • Spiritual & Practical Application: Recite newly memorized verses during daily obligatory and voluntary prayers to reinforce retention through active retrieval.
About the Instructor

Syeda Umama is a Hafiza of the Qur’an and holds a Bachelor’s in Sharia & Islamic Law from the University of Sharjah and is pursuing a Master's in Tafseer & Hadith. She is Ijazah-certified from Awqaf Dubai.

She also earned Qur’an certification and completed postgraduate studies in ʿUlum al-Shariah at Masjid an-Nabawi, Madinah. She holds multiple Ijazahs in Qur’an, Tajweed, *Fiqh*, Qira'at, and Hadith and is authorised to grant Ijazah in Tajweed and *other sciences*
